The volunteering is a non-riding programme where riders can work behind the scenes and learn about the general day-to-day care of horses and care and upkeep of the equestrian yard. In addition, volunteers have the important job of assisting the trainers, therapists and instructors during equestrian therapy sessions.
Our team of volunteers are extremely dedicated and passionate about horses and fellow riders. We offer training to all volunteers – firstly in the form of compulsory quarterly training and then also ongoing training and supervision throughout the year. First Aid training also forms part of our training at Living Waters Equestrian.
Our Volunteering programme runs 7 days a week 365 days of the year as our horses/ponies are a full time responsibility and blessing. Volunteers commit to specific days/time slots.
